Responsibilities
- GE Equity manages private and public equity assets for GE - both direct investments and investments in private equity funds.
These assets are managed by Equity through direct involvement with management teams and through board and advisory board membership. The business mandate of Equity is to utilize the deal flow and the relationships of other GE businesses to create investment opportunities, to leverage the business insights of the GE businesses to underwrite new investments, to maximize the value of this portfolio through value added activities and to provide advice and investment management services to the broader Commercial Finance community.
Essential Functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and maintain close working relationships with GE verticals to originate, structure, underwrite, document and manage equity opportunities.
* Maintain close working relationships with private equity funds, investment banks and other advisors.
* Gather feedback from the marketplace and from the GE origination and risk community to structure new equity products.
* Lead/manage equity deal team in all aspects of equity transaction underwriting and risk management including: modeling, structuring, negotiating, and documenting.
* Ensure proper valuation and risk management processes are implemented for newly integrated portfolio.
* Manage direct equity accounts to ensure optimal account performance and compliance with legal agreements and internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
* A minimum 5+ years transaction experience in debt, equity or M&A.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time.
* Willingness to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification and background check.
* You must have unrestricted authorization to work in Mexico.
* You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
Desired
* Private Equity origination or underwriting experience.
* Six Sigma; GB Certified.
* MBA, FMP or GE Internal Audit.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, as well as organizational, presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to develop strong working relationships with team members in an independent work environment.
* Ability to be effective in and adaptable to a rapidly changing environment.
