Responsibilities
- Influence key architects, engineers and end user designers within the specification community to use GE Electrical Distribution products and secure specifications and sales for new construction and renovation projects.
- Define, assess and close growth opportunities at new and existing consultants within the key strategic market segments.
- Drive incremental growth at targeted prospects and drive improved product mix in specifications.
- Highly active within the industry and market segments to maximize GE presence & business results.
- Drive new product commercialization & accelerate market segment penetration.
- Provide ongoing market feedback to specification team and Product Management to guide product development and service offerings.
- Plan & implement specification strategies to maximize penetration of GE products and equipment in verticals such as construction, oil & gas and mining.
- Conduct technical presentations to create preference for GE.
- Guide the sales team on key accounts or projects for them to provide a proper take-off's & develop cost effective proposals from project plans & specifications.
- Participate actively in relevant industry associations.
- Meet or exceed specification goals on each of the verticals assigned.
- Travel as necessary to support growth at key accounts or projects

Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering. PE preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Competitor and or GE products and systems preferred, as well as a strong understanding of the market dynamics of the electrical industry and distribution.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to build strong relationships with key clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Persuasive skills to influence decision-making process, ability to "paint the GE picture" for engineering firms and customers.
- Ability to work in diverse, cross-functional environment.
- Self-directed work, self-starter.
- Well Versed on IEC standards
- Relationship builder who can develop strong relationships at multiple levels internal and external to GE.
- Fluent written and oral communication in both English and Spanish.
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of sales or marketing of electrical protection equipment with proven track record.
- Experience implementing projects with construction, oil & gas and mining companies and engineering firms.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong motivation/initiative, accountability for results.
Desired
- Electrical Engineering. PE preferred
- Six Sigma certified.
- Understanding of other GE businesses.
