Reporting to the National Controller the position's main responsibilities include:

- Provide financial leadership as the company moves in Local GAAP Convergence to IFRS in 2012 (Public Companies/ DuPont early adoption)
- Provide accounting guidance within IFRS and US Gaap/Mexican NIFs regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures
- Review local pronouncements and develop a global view for the standards as needed
- Provide this view to DuPont México entities for use in 2010 adoption and going forward.
- Influence choice of policy in México to attain a global view in local country adoption
- Identify potential financial, business, tax, other local country adoptions and other business processes, systems, controls and organizations in aligment with Global Team

The ideal candidate will have received their training within one of the big four and have demonstrable experience operating within both large and small enterprises
- Comprehension of IFRS business combination and consolidations
- Determination of functional currency
- Comprehension of IFRS asset valuation and impairment test
- Comprehension of IFRS fair value accounting
- IFRS Revenue Recognition
- Preparation of statutory accounts to IFRS - experience on meeting IFRS disclosure and presentation requirements

Perfil deseado

The candidate must accomplish with the following charactericstics:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Masters/Specialty degree in Tax preferred.
- Public Accountant degree from accredited university or college in accounting
- Subject matter expert across IFRS and major GAAP (US Gaap, México NIFs); Expert of US GAAP and IFRS o Expert on Mexican NIFs; Experience working with one of the big four (PWC, Deloitte, E&Y or KPMG) - desirable; Specific experience assisting with implementing changes in accountingpolicies and the related impact on financial reporting;
- A minimum of 5 years working directly in a technical accounting role with exposure to IFRS, IAS and/or NIFs
- English - PROFICIENT
